The Walthamstow Photographic Society, founded in 1894, has a rich history of over a century, with its roots tracing back to the Walthamstow Literary and Scientific Institute founded in 1882. Today, we meet most Mondays at the Quaker Meeting House on Jewel Road, where we enjoy a programme of organised talks, competitions and members’ evenings.
We are proud to be a diverse and inclusive group of individuals and would love those who want to expand their knowledge of photography to come and join our meet ups. We offer guests the opportunity to visit up to three times free of charge before committing to a membership.
Where possible we offer Zoom viewings of our evenings to expand our inclusivity to those members that can’t attend the meetings in person.
We also run a summer school for new or improving photographers, where you’ll not only enhance your photography skills but also join a vibrant community of like-minded enthusiasts.
For details of our full annual programme, including events and costs, please visit our website, https://wdps.org or email us at info@wdps.org.
