London headline show from one of the brightest new talents on the British folk scene, Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Olivia Chaney. Following a recent string of sold-out London headline shows, including at Kings Place, Hoxton Hall and Cecil Sharp House, the gifted songwriter has also appeared on Later…with Jools Holland, in live session with BBC radio 6 music’s Mark Radcliffe, and been nominated for BBC ‘Folk Singer of The Year’ 2019.
A classically-trained singer / pianist, Chaney graduated from London’s Royal Academy of Music before teaching herself guitar, Indian harmonium and carving out her own sound. She has since built a loyal and growing following as a songwriter, arranger and interpreter, both in the UK and internationally, through her acclaimed and eclectic live performances and much lauded recorded works.
Her second solo album ‘Shelter’ on Nonesuch Records was met with critical acclaim, being described as ‘A big, beautiful new record’ (Mojo, Albums of the Year ★★★★), ‘Rare beauty’ (The Sunday Times), and ‘An elegant, luminous album.’ (Observer).
