Or bring your own picnic and blanket to enjoy with friends and family from the comfort of your own picnic spot on the grassy slopes surrounding the square.
Live music and performances will be taking place throughout the day including aerial acrobatics first seen at Fellowship Square’s opening performance and film project “The Sky is Full of Gold”.
There will be mask making workshops from ‘Go Wild-life Carnival’ to keep the little ones entertained making bat and butterfly masks and flower and creature handhelds, cake decorating with Sheebakes as well as the opportunity to meet the council’s Connecting Communities team.
Plus, there will be a special collaborative performance between Mbilla Arts’ African drummers and Colombian dance troupe Somos Chibchas which will provide a cultural crossover of Gambian and Colombian folklore, creativity, music and dance that will keep you (and the little ones) entertained. Expect infectious rhythms, spectacular costumes and a chance to join in and learn some new dance moves!
