Outside of the Box: thinking, and playing, instruments and ambitions link the performers drawn from across the globe. We begin with a duo the deeply dynamic Brackenbury Bianco, a raw connection and conversation in jazz with strings and drums. Then the sunlight will fall on Clarice Jensen’s cello – a composer and performer whose music has been described as ‘heavily processed, incredibly powerful…that seem to come straight from another astral plane’ by Self-Titled. Then saxophonist Guido Spannocchi presents his new quartet joined by collaborators old and new for a repertoire that floats effortlessly between intricate grooves and soothing melodies.
Pay-What-You-Can entry (we suggest £10 adult, children free) in advance or on the door, subject to availability/capacity.
An event for all ages. As always with this series we endeavour to make our audience feel as safe, comfortable and welcome as we possibly can.
