Ayurveda recommends a regular seasonal cleansing (detox) routine to help remove toxins (ama) which accumulate in the body tissues and organs.
As we transition from one season to the next, it is the ideal time to press the reset button – or cleanse the body (and mind) of toxins we accumulate throughout the past season. As we move through winter, it’s time to prepare ourselves for the months ahead and realign ourselves with the new season.
As part of the Lotus Health and Fitness series of workshops, we will be following a seasonal cleanse 4 times throughout the year: January, April, July and October.
We have changed the format for our Ayurvedic Season Cleanse to include lunch and a grounding Yoga Practice and Meditation.
We will open the workshop with a light lunch, offering seasonally appropriate foods for Winter. During the workshop you will understand a little more about your Ayurvedic type and foods and lifestyle choices, which suit you best.
Following the workshop we will follow a 10 day season cleanse (or detox).
