Presenting WFWN Black Sistory Month Event – An event dedicated to Celebrating and Uplifting Black Females.
Join us in ‘Saluting Our Sisters’ and the #WEMATTER movement during Black History Month 2023 through our Black Sistory Event.
The theme of ‘Saluting our Sisters’ highlights the crucial role that black women have played in shaping history, inspiring change, and building communities. Our celebration will showcase pioneering black women within our community who are poets and speakers.
We will be featuring a poetry competition and want to highlight women in the community who are poets and speakers and will be offering an amazing prize.
During the event we will be showcasing black female businesses within the community offering stalls of jewerley, hair products and more.
We will have arts and crafts for children 10 and under so make sure you make it a mother and daughter event.
The event will also feature our Annual General Meeting with those who are going to step up and step down from Waltham Forest Women’s Network.
