Tea Cosy Confab March 15TH
Yes, you read it correctly! We, by we I mean…. Frances Cowper Holzhousen and the Old Station Yard Cafe have decided to hold a confabulation about Vintage Tea cosies… a real thing. Indeed it is and we have an array or variety of tea cosies, in the form of an exhibition to prove it.
Firstly, come and see our ‘toasty’ little exhibition co-ordinated by Frances and secondly, drink tea and eat cake. They go together like eggs and bacon!
The actual confabulation will be held here at the Old Station Yard Cafe on March 15th at 4.30. You are invited to this gathering on condition that you bring a tea cosy and an accompanying tale. Failing that, just come for a chat and a cuppa. This event is free but you must register.
Making a Tea Cosy workshop April 26th
Frances, who is quite a talent with a needle, will lead a workshop during which you will make, decorate, create and take away a more contemporary take on the tea cosy. All materials provided. The cost of this event is £20.00. All the proceeds will go to Frances’ favourite charity ‘Carers UK.’
Tea and cake is provided at a very reasonable price.
