Storylines: Mapping Memory and Legacy
Remembering F.K. Akhtarziai, 25 years on: past and present creative voices

An exhibition of poetry, visual art, photography, and archival memory, brought together by his family.

F.K. Akhtarziai was a poet and community activist whose words shaped lives and gave voice to questions of identity, belonging, and home. Twenty-five years after his death, his children and grandchildren gather at Winns Gallery to honour his legacy, and to add their own.

Storylines brings archival materials and new creative work into conversation across generations. It is an invitation to remember, to reflect, and to discover a voice that still resonates.

 10 – 12 July 2026 Friday – Sunday, 10am – 4pm

Winns Gallery Aveling Centre, Lloyd Park Walthamstow, London E17 5JW
