We are a bunch of people who get together for a strum and a sing every Wednesday. It’s not a class, we just pick songs out of a big song-book ( on https://ukulelewednesdays.com/songbook/ ) and play/sing together.

We’re in the back room at the Bell from January the 3rd ( unless it’s been booked when we’re out in the main bit of the pub ). Please bring that uke you’ve been given for Christmas, or just turn up for a sing.

4th October 2018, 7:00pm - 9:30pm

Location
This Time Next Year
80 Ruckholt Road
E10 5FA

A film season to inspire getting sh*t done. We present our favourite flicks from the executive board meeting room of the 80’s. Expect big shoulder pads, bigger hair and colossal egos. This cast of characters knew how to get things done; their morals may be twisted but you can’t fault their resourcefulness.

Working Girl

Year: 1989 Cert: 15 Run Time: 1h 53m

Frustrated secretary, Tess is struggling to forge ahead in the world of big business. But her luck turns, and she gets her chance when her boss breaks her leg on a skiing holiday. McGill takes advantage of her absence to push ahead with her career. She teams up with investment broker Jack Trainer to work on a big deal. The situation is complicated after the return of her boss. Melanie Griffith and Harrison Ford star in this heady cocktail of business with pleasure.

Over 18s only. Proof of age may be required. Management reserves the right to refuse entry.

We Mean Business: Wall Street

11th October 2018, 7:00pm - 9:30pm

Wall Street

Year: 1988 Cert: 15 Run Time: 2h 6m

Every dream has a price. A young and impatient stockbroker is willing to do anything to get to the top, including trading on illegal inside information taken through a ruthless and greedy corporate raider who takes the youth under his wing. Oliver Stone directs and Charlie Sheen stars in the iconic crime drama that promises penthouse wealth and gutter integrity.

Over 18s only. Proof of age may be required. Management reserves the right to refuse entry.
