Discover Children’s Story Centre will be taking over The Epicentre on Saturday 18 March for a FREE day of fun, food, stories, poems and art for families.

Discover will be joined by artists Pencil & Help who will be creating a giant, colourful sculpture and related activities through the day, along with The Poetry Takeaway who will cook you up your own poem in their very special van. Then meet a giant lobster, help create a walkway out of wool with artist Karen Logan, listen to The Cat in the Hat storytelling with Discover’s Story Builders and enjoy crafts, games, free refreshments and more.

Discover has been working with local children in Waltham Forest from Buxton Primary School, Noor Ul Islam Primary School, George Tomlinson Primary School, Jenny Hammond Primary School and Leytonstone Family and Children’s Centre to make art and poetry with Pencil & Help and The Poetry Takeaway. Come along to see what they have created.

Families are invited to join in the festivities on Saturday 18 March any time between 11am and 4pm, drop-in, no booking required. All activities and refreshments are free of charge.
